Merry Christmas Greeting Card

Make your own personalized egreeting postcard including Christmas wishes. Simple and easy!

  Start creating the file (File>New), that would have 600x317 px and 72 dpi.
    Use this gradient (G) to fill the image, from: #003669 to #008ec1

  Now add hills full of snow to it:

Use this gradient (G): , from: #eaf9ff to #a9e0ff and you`ll get:

So, repeat these steps to make more hills and you`ll get:

  Let`s add the Christmas Trees:
    I like to use Path Tool (Window->Paths):

Using Pen Tool (P) draw a triangle:

then select Add Anchor Point Tool () and round the base:

and use the Gradient Tool (G, ) from: #6eb31a to #395e0e

Add some snow: Take the Lasso Tool (L, )

Photoshop Tip:
To make the selection just into the shape, press Alt+Ctrl+Shift+click on the Shape and you`ll get:

Fill it with #White:

Duplicate this three times and using Transform Tool (Edit -> Transform -> Scale) set them to 80%, 60% and 40%
and you`ll get:

Make the base of the tree using The Rounded Rectangle Tool (U) with a radius of 75px

Fill it with this gradient (G, ) from: #b0511d to #8e1e0c and you`ll have:

Duplicate the tree using Transform Tool (Ctrl + T) and the final picture here is:

  Add the moon:
    Use Marquee Tool (M, ) :

and fill it with: #fcf77c

Let`s add some texture. If you search on google: "moon texture" you`ll get a lot of results.
Anyways i took one of the first pictures:

Inverse the selection (Ctrl+Shift+I) and selecting the texture layer press Delete.

Now duplicate the Moon Layer and set it behind the original Moon Layer.

Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur

Let`s write 'Merry Christmas' on it. We gonna use this font: Tip: I used the same technique for the blurry text behind. Copy the 'Merry Christmas' text
and apply the same effect as for the moon or just press Ctrl+F and you`ll get the last
effect you aplied.

One last thing:
i used this image

Open the image and apply these settings:

Image ->Mode -> Grayscale

Image -> Mode -> Bitmap

Copy this image in the greeting card file and using Wizzard Tool (W, ) then press Select -> Similar and press Delete
Use Transform Tool for scale and rotate and you`ll get the final picture:
