| Recently i`ve been in Venice where i took several pictures. | |||
| I didn`t have a really good camera so i had to adjust my pictures using Photoshop. Let me show you a nice and eay trick to improve and give to your picture a nice fairy tale look. This is the original picture. You can say: 'Hey, it`s not so bad' but there is always room for better. ![]() |

| This is how my canvas looks like before i start to do anything | |||

| Step 1: Duplicate layer (layer -> duplicate) | |||

| Next step is to add some Gaussian Blur (Filter -> Blur -> Gaussian Blur) | |||
![]() I`ll set the gaussian blur value to 2.7. This is how it looks now: ![]() |

| Now set the layer`s opacity to 60% (layers -> layer style -> blending options) The opacity can go from 30% to 60% and it determines how softness of the picture |

| On the duplicated layer add a layer mask | |||
![]() Then set the soft brush tool with at least 50 % of opacity and black color and then brush the details you want to sharpen ![]() I used the brush to sharpen the first boat, the closest bricks and then let the image blurry as it goes deep in the picture ![]() |
